Strength Training + released

Many requests for a General Purpose Strength Training App.
Our watches needs better support for Strength Training, CrossFit, Cardio and Stretching.  No Auto Recounting No Auto Pause stuff, no features that make no sense, period.

Every train with a Weight Vest, Ankle weights or Wrist Weights?  Your effort is increase but our watch don’t adjust for this.  This application provides ‘Weight Adjustable’ calorie calculations and posts data to Garmin Connect Web and App.  Additional weight can be added in configuration settings.

Three Calorie calculation are posted:
Garmin Calorie Total – this is the default for our watches.
Average Heart Rate Calorie Total Weight Adjusted   –  this provides a calorie calculation base on your entire activity time using the average heart rate, your body weight + the additional weight, gender and age.  Can view on watch and posts data to Garmin Connect Web and App.
Instantaneous Calorie Sum base on Current Heart Rate and Weight Adjusted  –  this provides a sum of calorie calculations. Calories are calculated and summed EVERY SECOND your entire activity time using the Current heart rate, your body weight + the additional weight, gender and age.  Highly accurate value.  Can view on watch and posts data to Garmin Connect Web and App.

This App uses the calorie formula is from the Journal of Sports Sciences and provides gender specific values. The calorie data is based from both current heart rate and average heart rate, and the data is posted to Connect as an IQ Data.

  1. Hi, I have Garmin Approach S60. Strength and Eliptical don’t count calories. I use heart rate strap. How to fix it? Thank you?

    • All my apps calculate calories but require heartrate. Are you receive a heart rate?

      Few suggestions:

      Restart the watch

      Check the HRM battery
