Track Back Navigation

The App will remember the starting location and will provide a Return to Start ability for all activities. This function requires the data fields Estimated Time Enroute (ETE) and Distance Remaining (DistRem) to be pre-set on the 2nd or 3rd screens. When either (Estimated Time Enroute (ETE) and Distance Remaining (DistRem) data fields are set to a screen, the Direction to Start Pointer (bug) will be displayed. The Direction bug will always point to the start location. Keep the watch face level when getting a bearing direction. Recommend to have compass enabled. Start location is lost, If app session is saved or exited.

Estimated Time Enroute (ETE) is the estimated time based on Average speed and the Distance Remaining to the start location. Estimated Time does not include elevation, obstacles or barriers in the track back.

Distance Remaining (DistRem) is the current distance from your location to the start location (KM or Miles) in a straight line. Distance does not include elevation, obstacles or barriers.

Older Watches and Devices

Older Garmin watches, hand helds and Edge bike computers that support CIQ may not have all functions listed above. Most functions above that are restricted show minimum CIQ version. This is due to:

  • Available sensors
  • Sensor Abilities
  • Available Hardware buttons and touchscreen
  • Available Garmin CIQ Functions in device CIQ version
  • Available Garmin CIQ Data in device CIQ version
